Romanian flat glass producer invests EUR 3 mln to increase output by 25%-30%

Transparent Design Company, the largest processor specializing in the niche of flat glass production in Romania, is preparing to increase its production capacity of the plant in Popești-Leordeni by 30%, from 1,300 square meters of tempered glass per day.

Alina and Marian Nechifor have invested over the last two years more than EUR 5 mln in the modernization of Transparent Design to reach today's production capacity.

Now they are working on the documents necessary for the expansion of the factory with two more halls that will bring the total area to over 14,000 square meters, Profit.ro reported.

"The production capacity of the plant will increase by 25-30% after expansion. We are waiting for the building permit, and during the month of May, we anticipate the start of the works. Starting this July, the new equipment will come, and by the end of the year, we will have all of it. The investment in the expansion is about EUR 3 mln," said Marian Nechifor, CEO of Transparent Design.
