The Government of Romania, through its seaport company Administratia Porturilor Maritime (CNAMP), is close to buying Moldova's largest port, Giurgiulesti (PILG), from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), announced Romania's Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, speaking for DC Newson November 7.
Technically, the target is Danube Logistics (Moldova), PILG's operator under an investment contract sealed in 2004 with the Moldovan authorities.
