Romanian REIT Mega Estate Trust plans IPO and AeRO listing

Romanian holding Meta Estate Trust, which operates under a real estate investment trust (REIT) with a focus on the large-urban residential segment for the beginning, announced plans to carry out an IPO most probably in May and list its shares on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

The holding's shareholders also approved issuing bonds with a combined value of EUR 10 mln over the coming two years.

"The main reasons we want to be listed are access to the capital market to rapidly grow the company's assets and develop new lines of business. We also want to attract and retain more talented people in the company, generate liquidity for shareholders and increase the organization's reputation," said Eugen Voicu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Meta Estate Trust.

Meta Estate Trust is a holding company launched in the domestic real estate market by a group of entrepreneurs with past experience in the real estate and capital market. The business model involves investments in the real estate segment, with a short cycle of capital rotation, with a focus on the large urban residential segment.
