Romanian car parts producer Preh plans EUR 17 mln investments this year

Brasov-based car parts maker Preh, a supplier to Porsche, Mercedes and Tesla, plans to invest EUR 17 mln this year after two projects summing up to EUR 15 mln in 2021, Ziarul Financiar reported.

The company earmarked the money for the development of projects for its main customers, for purchasing two new SMT lines (surface-mount technology, used for producing printed circuit boards), but also for the arrangement of spaces with special production conditions for new e-mobility products.

Last year, Preh Romania carried out an investment program worth EUR 15 mln, of which EUR 8 mln have been invested in the development of new projects for Daimler, Volkswagen, BMW and Tesla customers, and EUR 7 mln in the SMT line and other technologies and lines dedicated to new projects.
