Romanian payment processor launches food order & delivery platform

Digital payment processor Netopia Payments has launched mobilPay Delivery,a platform that allows users to order from restaurants, stores, and local producers, Startupcafe.ro reported.

In the pilot period, some 20 Bucharest restaurants joined the platform, including La Mama, Speed Pizza, Sushi House, or Burger Van. The company estimates more than 100 restaurants will enroll by the end of the year.

To place an order, users need to access the Restaurants section of the mobilPay Wallet app, introduce the delivery address, and chose the favorite items from the partner restaurants available in the area. They can opt for home delivery or personal pickup.

The company said it would soon add a Stores section for retailers of fruits and vegetables, honey and honey products, ice-cream, wine, coffee, or traditional products.

Besides paying with their card, users can also pay with meal vouchers.
