Innova Capital takes over majority stake in Romanian-Belgian group EMI

Investment fund Innova Capital achieved the majority stake (51%) of the Romanian-Belgian group EMI by combining a partial acquisition and a EUR 15 mln capital increase.

EMI, a provider of services and maintenance in the field of industrial access solutions, has among shareholders the company's founder, Jerome France, and Morphosis Capital, a Romanian private equity fund.

The additional capital brought by Innova will finance further acquisitions aimed at strengthening the company's position in existing markets and entering new countries.

EMI Group provides industrial access maintenance services to logistics and industrial buildings of area exceeding 5 million sqm, performing over 2,000 turn-key installation projects for over 1,500 unique clients annually.

The company is an undisputed leader in its industry in Romania and a leading independent player in Belgium, serving end customers and commercial real estate developers in a wide range of sectors, including industrial, retail, logistics, military and healthcare.
