Five more Romanian companies get EUR 72 mln grants for investments

Five Romanian companies, including the cement production company Holcim and medicine producer Antibiotice, were extended state grants for investments with systemic impact worth a total of RON 363 mln (EUR 72 mln) in April-May, under the scheme 807/2014 managed by the Ministry of Finance.

Holcim avoided commenting on the use of the money (RON 77.8 mln), but Antibiotice said it would put RON 115 mln besides the RON 85 mln grant and build a new plant, Economedia.ro reported.

Trutzi, a manufacturer of wrought iron elements in Suceava, will receive a RON 55.4 mln state aid to build a new factory, expected to cost RON 150 mln.

The other two companies that received state aid are Clean Tech International SRL and Euro Construct & Industrytechnik SRL (formerly known as IBB Strassenbau SRL).

Clean Tech International is a company from Ciulnița that deals with the manufacture of meat products (including poultry meat), founded in 2009 and where the main shareholder is the German company Saria International GMBH.

Not much is known about Euro Construct & Industrytechnik, formerly IBB STRASSENBAU. The company was established in 2022 and deals with road and highway construction work.
