Bucharest buys 500 new buses, 30% of them will be electric

The Bucharest City Hall is now preparing the documentation to buy 500 new buses, 30% of which will be electric, said Bucharest mayor Gabriela Firea. The first new buses will arrive next spring, she added. They will be modern, “with many technical details," and facilities for people with disabilities. The buses will also provide the possibility to monitor the people who are travelling by bus. It will be a “mathematical monitoring” of all the bus riders, the mayor said. This will ensure that all the bus riders will travel with tickets. The Bucharest mayor has changed her mind several times about acquiring new or used buses.
