Schneider Electric names Romanian in charge of operations in the Balkans

French based multinational Schneider Electric has appointed Romanian Ionut Farcas as the company’s country president for Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo. Farcas was previously head of end user sales and field services within Schneider Electric Romania. He joined the company in September 2014 as deputy president of the energy department. Before that he worked for the Italian energy company Enel. As new country president for Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo, he will relocate to Sofia and will directly report to Phillipe Sauer, Schneider Electric Country President for Southeast Europe. He is the second Romanian executive promoted to an international management position within the group after former Schneider Electric Romania president Florentina Totth, who became segment and strategic clients vice president for European operations earlier this year. editor@romania-insider.com
