Romanian PM Dacian Ciolos to meet VP Biden during visit to US this May

Romania’s Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos will pay a working visit to the U.S. between May 22 and May 25, the Government has announced. During the visit, the Romanian Prime Minister will meet with US Vice President Joe Biden, senior officials of the American administration, business representatives, and members of the Romanian community in Washington. The Romanian delegation led by Ciolos will also include foreign minister Lazar Comanescu, energy minister Victor Grigorescu, Dragos Tudorache – the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, and state secretary Manuel Costescu, from the Department for Foreign Investment and Public-Private Partnership. During the visit, the officials’ talks will mainly focus on topics related to security and economy. Prime Minister Ciolos together with US and NATO officials inaugurated the US missile defense system at Deveselu in Romania, on Thursday, May 12. Joe Biden visited Romania in 2014.
