Israel and Romania will hold joint cabinet meeting in November

The governments of Israel and Romania will have a joint meeting at the beginning of November, Israel’s Embassy to Romania announced on Monday, August 6, local Mediafax reported. The Israeli minister delegation will be led by prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two government teams will talk about bilateral cooperation and the relations with the European Union. The talks about Romania moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem are also open. Romanian prime minister Viorica Dancila and Liviu Dragnea, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) went to Israel in April and had a meeting with Netanyahu. The visit came shortly after Dragnea said Romania would move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. However, the government said that it would analyze the opportunity of such a move. President Klaus Iohannis and the opposition parties criticized the PSD leader’s initiative saying it could damage Romania’s relations in the Middle East.
