SelfPay processes 40% more payments in 2018

08 March 2019

SelfPay, the leader of Romania’s self-service payment terminal market, registered a turnover of RON 73.5 million (EUR 15.8 million) in 2018, up 11% year-on-year.

The expansion of the terminal network and the addition of new services to the platform contributed to the 17% increase in revenues in the last quarter of 2018 when the number of payments doubled in year-to-year terms.

In 2018, the company processed payments of RON 930 million (EUR 200 million), 40% more than in the previous year.

The positive evolution is the result of the organic growth of services offered by paying stations, the addition of new services, the expansion of the paying station network and the increase in the visibility of SelfPay in the retail spaces after new brand identity was created last year.

"The good beginning of 2019 makes us optimistic about both the consolidation of the current position and about new projects developed by SelfPay in the area of B2B solutions. I expect our payment automation solutions to reach a growing number of partners in areas such as finance, banking, retail, health or even entertainment," said Adrian Badea, CEO of SelfPay.
