Greek fund Zeus looking to buy Bucharest office properties of up to EUR 120 mln

Greek investment fund Zeus Capital Management, founded in 2007 by Stelios Zavvos, a former Citibank manager, has been participating at auctions in Bucharest for the acquisition of office buildings worth between EUR 30 million and EUR 120 million.

Earlier this year, Zeus Capital entered the Warsaw market by purchasing an office building.

"We are actively looking for office buildings in Bucharest at prices between 30 and 120 million euros. I participated in some recent auctions, but I can not disclose if we are in any negotiations now. We hope that we will add a new property to our local portfolio this year," said Lila Pateraki, investment director of Zeus Capital Management, for Profit.ro.

In Romania, the fund paid about EUR 12 million to local entrepreneur Ionuţ Dumitrescu in 2012 for HQ Victoriei office building in Bucharest. It also owns apartment suites in the Emerald Residence and Signature Herastrau residential projects.
