Sale of new cars in Romania down 44% in July
More than 14,240 new vehicles were registered in Romania in July this year, down 44% compared to July 2019, according to a preliminary analysis of registrations published by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Importers (APIA).

More than 14,240 new vehicles were registered in Romania in July this year, down 44% compared to July 2019, according to a preliminary analysis of registrations published by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Importers (APIA).
Of the new vehicles registered, 12,950 were new cars, also down 44.2% from July 2019, while the rest were commercial vehicles.
The registrations of used cars totaled 30,113 units, down 24.8% compared to last year's corresponding month.
In the first seven months of the year, the new car registrations (62,566 units) decreased by 34%, and those of used cars (211,726 units) were down by 17.9%.
