Romanian entrepreneurs set up office furnishing company

Companies have been forced to rethink the way they use office spaces after the pandemic and adapt to the new ways of work. The focus in office design is no longer just on the physical comfort of the employees, but also on creating spaces where employees can interact, according to specialists from Project1, a Romanian company that a company specializes in the furnishing of corporate offices.

"The comfort of the employee is no longer offered by an ergonomic chair, an office, and a high-performance laptop, because many people have also benefited from these things when they worked at home. Today we come to the office to connect between us, to feel that we belong to an organizational group or culture, and to exchange ideas. From here comes the great change that attracts a new perspective on the definition of a relevant and efficient space. Especially when we target a high level of performance and efficiency of the team,” says Corina Obretin, Head of Sales Project1.

From the desire to become attractive to employees, companies make creative and financial efforts in the process of reconfiguring spaces.

"We begin to observe an opening to higher costs on aspects that until now were not considered as important as the efficiency of the available space and project budget such as architecture and design, luminaires, pleasant aesthetic furniture, relaxation furniture, interactive panels, air purification, living plants, etc,” says Lucian Borascu, Chief Operating Officer Project1.

Restaurants, charging stations for electric cars, and sports halls are appreciated on the premises, being just a few examples of facilities targeted by companies in search of new office spaces.
