The turnover of the recycling companies in Romania could reach RON 13 bln (EUR 2.6 bln) in 2022, increasing by 2.36% compared to the previous year, according to an analysis published by KeysFin.
"For 2021, we estimate the continuation of the growth trend that started in 2016. In the medium term, we expect faster growth in case of successful implementation of the National Resilience Plan, based on the substantial concentration of milestones around environmental indicators," Tudor Malearov, KeysFin Business Development Manager, said, quoted by Economica.net.
The capital city Bucharest leads among the country's regions with a turnover of RON 2.7 bln (21.6% of the total), followed by Ilfov (7.4% of the total), Brasov (6.8%), Arad (6%) and Galati (5.1%). Overall, the top five counties generated 47% of local recycling companies' revenue in 2020.
