RO employment agency announces 3,900 vacancies for Ukrainians

More than 3,900 vacancies are currently open in Romania for Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, according to this week's data from the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), quoted by Economedia.ro.

A total of 647 Ukrainian citizens have already registered with the ANOFM regional agencies to benefit from information, counseling and mediation services on the labor market.

Most Ukrainian refugee citizens registered in the records were in the counties of Suceava (74), Arad (73), Bistriţa-Năsăud (67), Bihor (62), Bucharest (44), Timiş (41). Of these, 382 are already employed through ANOFM.

The occupations of the employed Ukrainian citizens are car wiring manufacturers, car industry specialists, textile industry workers, construction workers, violinists, drivers, Horeca employees, and sales representatives.

Also, 247 employers expressed their readiness to employ Ukrainian citizens, declaring 3,932 vacancies available for these people.

The main jobs are in restaurants; manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment for motor vehicles; manufacture of other wearing apparel; footwear manufacturing; rolling stock manufacturing. There is also a need for unskilled workers in various fields of activity.

The Ukrainian citizens can be employed without a work permit; they can also benefit from measures to stimulate employment, as well as protection under the unemployment insurance system, under the conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, provided they register with the agencies for the employment of the county.
