Employees in the public sector will thus enjoy a five-day mini-holiday from Saturday, April 27, until Wednesday, May 1.

According to the Ministry of Labour and Social Justice (MMJS), the measure is adopted for allowing the employees' to recover their work capacity as well as stimulating tourism, News.ro reported.

"The provisions of the normative act do not apply to workplaces in which the activity can not be interrupted," the ministry said.
