27 September 2016

A young man aged 18 had his driver license suspended for 90 days after he was caught doing 255 km per hour on the A3 highway in central Romania.

The car’s speed was almost double the maximum legal speed on the motorway in Romania, of 130 km per hour.

The driver, who is from Mures, also received a fine of RON 1,125 (some EUR 253).

In February this year, the Police caught another man who was doing 246 km per hour on the same motorway. He also had his driver license suspended, and received a fine of RON 945 (more than EUR 210), as requested by the law.
