Vodafone Romania adds unconventional advertising campaign: digital library at Bucharest metro

Commuters using the Bucharest underground system will be able to download and read on their phones parts of a collection of books and audiobooks at the Victoriei metro station. This is part of the new Vodafone digital library program, created in partnership with Humanitas book publisher.

The digital library will include selections from 49 books and from 10 audiobooks and will be available until the end of October this year. The books can be downloaded irrespective of the users' mobile network. In case users want to buy the whole book in digital format, they will be redirected to the Humanitas website for the purchase. All books are in Romanian. Works of several contemporary writers such as Lucian Boia, Mircea Cartarescu, Gabriel Liiceanu, Andrei Plesu, Radu Paraschivescu were included in the library, along with international names such as Amos Oz, Nikos Kazantzakis, Paulo Coelho, C.S Lewis and Lev Tolstoi.
