Festival brings classical music concerts to fortified churches, mansions in Transylvania

The second edition of the SoNoRo Musikland festival takes place between July 31 and August 9.

The festival celebrates the traditions and architectural heritage of the Saxon area of Haferland, a region between Rupea and Sighișoara.

It will be held in several localities in Braşov county, namely Meşendorf, Hoghilag, Prod, Viscri, Cârţa, Râşnov, Măgura and Braşov.

Thirteen musicians from seven countries will perform at the events. They are Alexander Sitkovetsky (violin), Valentin Şerban (violin), Răzvan Popovici (viola), Leo Schmidt (cello), Radu Nagy (cello), Miruna Nagy (harp), Ionuţ Ştefănescu (flute), Nicolas Dautricourt (violin), Rebekka Hartmann (violin), Cristiana Mihart (piano), Dragoş Dimitriu (piano), Traian Boală (viola) and Pablo Barragan (clarinet).

The program includes works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Georg Walter Huber, Enrique Granados, and Antonín Dvořák. 

Access to the concerts is free of charge, based on invitation or reservation, within available seating.
