Romanian business aviation company MyJet said that it plans to expand its managed fleet from eight aircraft to 14-15 over the next three years. The company intends to add two or three aircraft annually as it attracts more owners from European markets.
MyJet recorded a 16.3% increase in flight activity in 2025 compared with the previous year. Its most frequent international destinations include Nice, Geneva, Paris, Istanbul, and Milan.
“Business aviation should no longer be viewed exclusively through the lens of luxury,” said MyJet managing director Cătălin Enache. “For an increasing number of entrepreneurs and executives, an aircraft is a business tool that allows them to gain one of their most valuable resources: time.”
MyJet currently manages aircraft for owners in Romania, Bulgaria, and Italy, and is holding discussions with potential clients in Spain. It is also seeking to attract aircraft owners from Bulgaria, Greece, and the Republic of Moldova.
The company is considering obtaining an Air Operator Certificate in Malta as part of its European expansion.
Its charter brokerage operation has desks in Geneva and London, while a physical London office could be opened within the next five years.
“We are not pursuing growth based solely on volume,” Cătălin Enache said. “We want to grow while maintaining our ability to understand each owner and each client and build the right solution for them.”
MyJet’s clients include entrepreneurs and companies operating in construction, real estate, pharmaceuticals, and retail. The company provides aircraft management, charter brokerage, and concierge services and is an approved handling agent at Bucharest’s Băneasa Airport.
Romania recorded 13,449 business aviation movements in 2024, an increase of 8% from the previous year, according to the European Business Aviation Association, as quoted by the company. The number of business aircraft based in the country rose from 34 to 38, while registered aircraft increased from 25 to 29.
Business aviation traffic was handled by 22 Romanian airports in 2024, compared with 16 a year earlier. The sector’s economic impact was estimated at EUR 360 million and 5,800 direct and indirect jobs.
Founded in 2019 by Valentin and Robert Vișoiu, MyJet operates from Bucharest Băneasa International Airport. Its current 8-aircraft fleet includes models produced by Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream, Hawker, Honda, and Cirrus.
