Which are Romania’s fastest mobile networks?

Vodafone Romania has the fastest mobile network in the local market, according to the tests Romanian customers carried out over the past six months using Speedtest by Ookla.

The results of more than 500,000 tests carried out in the second and third quarters by Romanian users of LTE smartphones show that the Vodafone Romania network offers the highest download and upload speeds, as well as the lowest latency in data transmission, according to Vodafone.

Information posted on Speedtest.net shows that the average download speed in Vodafone’s network is 52.98 Mbps, while the upload speed is 18.38 Mbps.

Orange ranks second with a download speed of 43.88 Mbps and an upload speed of 16.11 Mbps, followed by Telekom – 23.47 Mbps for download and 1.47 Mbps for upload, and Digi Mobil – 12.66 Mbps for download and 2.61 Mbps for upload.

According to Romania’s National Communications Authority (ANCOM), the number of 4G Internet connections reached 3.7 million at the end of June this year, 2.5 times more compared to the end of June 2015.

Vodafone has launched its Supernet 4G+ internet service in Romania in September this year.
