The number of 4G internet connections reached 3.7 million at the end of June this year, 2.5 times more compared to the end of June 2015.

The 4G technology is thus used by over a quarter of the total broadband mobile internet clients in Romania, according to the National Communications Authority ANCOM.

Romania had a total of 14.8 million broadband internet connections at the end of June, and a penetration rate of 75% of the population, up 10 percentage points compared to June 2015.

The penetration rate of mobile internet in Romania, regardless of the connection type, reached 95% at the end of June this year.
