Romanian courier firm gets EUR 29 mln syndicated loan

Local courier firm Urgent Cargus has received a syndicated loan worth RON 134 million (EUR 29 million) from Romanian lenders BCR and OTP Bank Romania.

The loan matures in five years. It will help the courier firm finance its development projects, including refinancing existing loans. BCR will be the loan’s main coordinator.

Urgent Cargus is controlled by the private equity fund Abris Capital Partners. It operates 72 centers and warehouses in Romania, and a fleet of 2,600 vehicles. These carry 32 million parcels every year. The company has over 1,000 employees.

Abris Capital Partners is an active private equity fund in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), managing assets of over EUR 1.2 billion.
