03 November 2015

The control teams of the Bucharest City Hall, which checked various clubs, bars and restaurants in the capital on Monday, issued seven fines and had three units suspend their activities.

The controls took place following the tragic event on Friday last week when a fire broke in a club in Bucharest, killing 32 people and injuring close to 180.

The highest fine amounted to RON 30,000 (EUR 6,700). The control teams checked the clubs’ commercial activity and if they respected the environment norms, but also checked the clubs’ equipment for preventing and extinguishing fires.
