The Sibiu Opera Festival will take place between September 15 and October 5 this year in the central Romania city of Sibiu.

The 21-day event includes opera and musical performances, opera for children, and contemporary dance shows. The festival will open with a Peer Gynt, a contemporary dance performance staged together with the Sibiu Ballet Theater. A concert of the winners of the Vox Artis canto competition will close the event.

Short concerts featuring well-known opera arias are scheduled for public, unconventional spaces in the city, such as the City Hall, the airport, various museums, the Promenada Mall, or the Sibiu Vest Industrial Platform. They are grouped under the headline Take an Opera Break.

Tickets are priced RON 20 and RON 30 and can be purchased from the website of the Sibiu Philharmonic.
