Rompetrol sells environmental cleaning company to two Romanian entrepreneurs

Romania’s oil group Rompetrol has sold environmental services company Ecomaster to Oil Depol Service, a local company controlled by Romanians Radu Mierla and Danut Florescu, reports local Mediafax.

Prior to the transaction, Ecomaster’s capital was 99.63 percent controlled by Rompetrol Financial Group. Other shareholders were Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol SA and Rompetrol Well Services.

Oil Depol Service was established in 1998 and provides decontamination services, including collecting, treating and final elimination of hazardous waste. The company ended 2013 with a turnover of RON 34.49 million (EUR 7.8 million) and a profit of RON 4.1 million (under EUR 1 million).

Some of Oil Depol Service’s customers are OMV Petrom, Conpet, Rompetrol, Lukoil, Cargill, Ultex, Lafarge, Transgaz, Termoelectrica, CFR, Electrica, Henri Coanda Airport and Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries.

Rompetrol Group is controlled by KazMunayGaz, the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan.
