Romanian electricity distribution company Transelectrica issued, until July 17, a total of 4.77 million green certificates for the production of energy from renewable sources between January - June 2014, according to data published on the website of local power exchange OPCOM, cited by local Capital.

Of the total, 1.05 million certificates have already been traded on OPCOM’s specialized platform, while 1.04 million certificates were traded directly by the producers that received them.

Projects of renewable energy production reached a total capacity of 4,689 MW at the end of May, according to data from Transelectrica, reports Capital.
