Romania’s King Michael I invites 12 former Presidents for dinner to celebrate 25 years from the fall of Communism

King Michael I of Romania will organize an official dinner this week in the honor of 12 former Presidents in Central and Eastern Europe, celebrating 25 years from the fall of communism. The royal dinner will take place at Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest on November 20, starting 21:15.

Besides King Michael I, Crown Princess Margareta, Prince Radu and Prince Nicolae will also attend the dinner.

The King’s guests are Lech Walesa – Poland’s President between 1990 and 1995, Emil Constantinescu – President of Romania between 1996 and 2000, Petăr Stoyanov – Bulgaria’s President between 1997 and 2002, Stanislav Shushkevich – President of Belarus between 1991 and 1994, Sali Berisha – President of Albania between 1992 and 1997, Petru Lucinschi – Moldova’s President between 1996 and 2001, Rexhep Meidani – President of Albania between 1997 and 2002, Rudolf Schuster – Slovakia’s President between 1999 and 2004, Boris Tadic – Serbia’s President between 2004 and 2012, Viktor Yushchenko – Ukraine’s President between 2005 and 2010, Valdis Zatlers – President of Latvia between 2007 and 2011 and Hans-Gert Pöttering – President of the European Parliament between 2007 and 2009.
