Romania’s Government will pay EUR 23 million (EUR 5 million) for the expropriation of 107 private buildings in order to build the overpass in Domnesti, that goes over the Bucharest’s belt road, according to a government decision from Wednesday.

The Bucharest belt-Domnesti overpass will be located in the south of Bucharest’s District 6. It will streamline the traffic at the intersection of the capital’s road and railway belt with the Prelungirea Ghencea street and the 602 county road (DJ 602). It will ease the access to the residential neighborhoods in the area.

The Transport Ministry awarded the contract to the association of Straco Grup, Comnord, Specialist Consulting at the beginning of May. Its value amounts to about EUR 24 million and the end date should be 2019.
