Romania's FinMin estimates 3.25% central government budget deficit

Romania’s Finance Ministry has estimated a central government budget deficit of 3.25% of the GDP in 2017, according to the Strategy for Managing Government debt for 2017-2019, published yesterday.

It estimates economic growth at 5.2%, namely a nominal GDP of RON 816.5 billion (EUR 177.8 billion), reports local Agerpres.

The current account deficit forecast is 2.4% of GDP while the inflation is thought to reach 1.9% at the end of the year.

The Finance Ministry expects a gross financing requirement of EUR 63.9 billion.
