Romania's cultural heritage goes online via virtual tours website

13 November 2012

Digital recreations of several tourist hotspots in Romania can now be seen online, allowing visitors virtual tours of the places. The Dacian fortress Sarmizegetusa in Central Romania is one of the sites included by the National Patrimony Institute in the recently launched website 360.inp.org.ro.

The interactive site includes 20 videos and virtual tours, each containing 360 degree panoramas. Histria fortress in Constanta, Enisala in Tulcea (in picture), the Old Court and the Stavropoleos Church in Bucharest, the historic centers of Sibiu and Sighisoara, as well as the Mogosoaia Palace near Bucharest are part of the virtual project. The website is also partially available in English.
