09 August 2011

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc said that the problem of the new Health Minister has been discussed at the coalition meeting, without giving a name for this position. The new Romanian Health Minister will be appointed until August 19, according to Emil Boc.

Romania’s Health Minister Cseke Atilla resigned last week, after the ministry he has been leading did not receive the needed funds to cover all its investment requirements, following the country’s budget revision. Cseke Atilla, a member of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), said he had not been consulted before the budget revision, which was one of the main reasons behind his resignation.
