Romanian museum takes visitors back in time with special 3D exhibition

The National Museum of Transylvanian History in Cluj-Napoca gives visitors the chance to travel back in time with the special 3D Roma – Sarmizegetusa Turn ON the History exhibition.

The exhibition, which will stay open until September 30, comes with an interactive public exhibition concept. It is the first international event of this kind organized in Romania, where visitors can take a virtual walk through the ancient Rome and Sarmizegetusa – the capital of the Roman province Dacia.

“The exhibition is a unique concept, combining real artifacts that visitors can discover in an ingenious way at the exhibition, through their 3D digital restoration. This way, the public will have the chance to handle the objects archeologists found during their research of Roman sites,” reads the museum statement.

The exhibition is open between 10:00 and 16:00 from Thursday to Sunday and between 12:00 and 18:00 on Wednesdays. An entry ticket costs RON 3.
