Romania to send pumping equipment and supplies to flooded Serbia and Bosnia
Romania’s Prime Minister Victor Ponta has tasked Interior Ministry State Secretary Raed Arafat with co-ordinating the efforts to help Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina following mass flooding.
Romania will offer neighboring Serbia and its neighbor Bosnia pumping equipment as well as food, blankets and water, Ponta said during National Committee for Emergencies meeting held at the Government.
Both countries have been gravely affected by flooding. Romania has five complex anti-flood pumps, two in Timisoara and three in Bucharest.
Ponta said one in Timisoara would be made available immediately.
