Romania, 49th among best-prepared countries for change

Romania was among the countries that made the biggest progress in their ability to respond and adapt to significant changes.

The country rose 32 positions last year compared to the previous edition in 2015, according to the “Change Readiness Index 2017” report the consulting firm KPMG released yesterday.

Romania ranked 49th, with a score of 0.542 points, up from 0.480 points in 2015. It was outpaced by countries like the Czech Republic (25th place), Poland (28th) or Slovakia (30th). However, it managed to surpass countries like Bulgaria (50th), Serbia (51th) or the Republic of Moldova (60th).

Switzerland ranked first in the “Change Readiness Index 2017”.

The report measures the readiness of 136 countries to respond to short-term shocks and long-term tendencies.
