Romania will host women's junior handball World Championship in 2020

Romania will host the women’s junior handball World Championship in 2020, in Bucharest and Brasov.

The decision was taken on Saturday, November 11, by the delegations present at the International Handball Federation (IHF) Congress organized in Antalya, reports local News.ro.

Romania was the only nation that has applied for the organization of the women’s junior handball World Championship in 2020. The country hasn’t hosted a World Championship since 1963.

During the IHF Congress, retired Romanian handballer Narcisa Lecusanu was elected member of IHF’s Executive Committee with 110 votes.
