Retailer Cora will open a store of 12,500 sqm in AFI Palace Ploiesti shopping center, which will be opened by the end of 2012. Construction works on the project will start in the fourth quarter this year. AFI Palace Ploiesti will have 26,000 sqm of leasable area on two floors. It will be the second shopping center developer by Israeli developer AFI Europe, after the mall AFI Palace Cotroceni in Bucharest. The mall will be accompanied by class A office building in a compound called AFI Business Park Cotroceni.

Cora is currently present in Romania with six hypermarkets: Cora Pantelimon, Cora Lujerului, Cora Sun Plaza in Bucharest and Cora Cluj-Napoca, Cora Gold Plaza Baia Mare and Drobeta Turnu Severin in the country.
