The units of the Romanian Post and most bank units will be closed for the January 24 holiday, a legal day off.

On January 24 Romania is celebrating 150 years since the unification of the Moldova and Ţara Românească principalities.

The Romanian Post said all of its units in urban and rural areas will be closed on Wednesday, January 24. It also announced it was likely that postal dispatches sent on January 23 register longer delivery terms.

At the same time, most banking units will remain closed on January 24, with the exception of units located in shopping centers that remain open for the holiday. It is the case for the units of BRD and of Raiffeisen Bank. The latter’s units in malls, the Selgros network, and supermarkets will be open.
