Portuguese fado singer Ana Moura tours Romania this October

Portuguese fado singer Ana Moura (in picture) will perform for the first time in Romania this autumn when she will tour three cities across the country.

The first concert will be organized at Sala Palatului in Bucharest, on October 3, while on October 5 the artist will perform at the National Theater in Timisoara. The last of the three concerts is scheduled for October 7, at the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca.

Ana Moura was born in 1979 in Portugal and is the youngest fadista to be nominated for a Dutch Edison Award. Her debut album was Guarda-me a vida na mao, released in 2003, followed two years later by Aconteceu. Her most recent album Desfado was released last year. Find more about the artist here.

Fado is Portugal's most recognized music genre. The music is usually linked to the Portuguese word saudade which symbolizes the feeling of loss. Famous fado singers include Amalia Rodrigues, Carlos do Carmo, Mafalda Arnauth and Ana Moura.

Tickets for the concert in Bucharest cost between RON 100 and RON 260 and can be purchased from Germanos, Vodafone, Orange and Domo stores, Humanitas and Carturesti bookshops, or online at eventim.ro.
