Polish roofing manufacturer Blachotrapez plans to open a new production hall in Baia Mare, with an investment of EUR 800,000, reports local Profit.ro.

The company owns another factory in Baia Mare, where it produces tiles and roof accessories.

The new production hall will be ready next year. It brings new jobs and more than doubles the production capacity, said Jaroslaw Turczynski, CEO of Blachotrapez Romania.

“We have experienced steady sales growth in Romania, and expanding production is the next natural step, as the entire roof market is booming,” he added.

Blachotrapez recorded a turnover of EUR 10.5 million last year, up 35% over the previous year.
