NexT International Film Festival returns with new edition in Bucharest this summer

NexT International Film Festival, the biggest competition in Romania dedicated to short films, will return with a new edition in Bucharest this summer, between June 22 and June 26.

The event will take place at the Peasant Museum Cinema, Elvira Popescu Cinema, and several alternative venues, reports local News.ro.

The program will also include outdoor film screenings. Moreover, the usual sections of the festival such as the national and international competitions, Arthouse, NexT Is Feminist, LGBT, NexT Generation, and NexT Kids will also be part of the program this year.

More details about this year’s edition of NexT are to be announced soon.

Last year, the NexT Trophy went to Vietnamese short film The Living Need Light, The Dead Need Music, directed by The Propeller Group. The film won a prize of EUR 2,000 offered by the Romanian Cultural Institute and EUR 2,000 worth of digital and lab services (in post production) offered by Cinelab Romania.
