New manager for Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest

German Stefan Frank is the new general manager of the five-star hotel Intercontinental in Bucharest, controlled by businessman Dan Adamescu. Frank replaces Marten Schoenrock, who was at the helm of the hotel from 2009.

Stefan Frank, with a 21 year experience in the hotel industry, came from Frankfurt, where he ran the 770-room Intercontinental Hotel.

The Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest has 257 rooms and posted a turnover of EUR 4.7 million in the first half of this year, 20 percent lower than in the same period of 2011. The hotel ended the first half of the year with a loss of EUR 355,000, compared to a profit of EUR 440,000 in the first half of 2011.
