Almost 7,000 new cars were registered in Romania in June, up 15.8 percent month-on-month, according to provisional data from Romania’s Directorate for Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration (DRPCIV), cited by local Agerpres.
Most of the new registered cars were Dacia – over 2,500 units, followed by Volkswagen – 598, Skoda – 580, Ford – 614 and Renault – 394.
The rarest car brands sold in Romania in June were MINI – nine units, Jaguar – seven units, SsangYong and Subaru – three units each, Alfa Romeo – two units and Bentley, Infiniti, Lancia, smart and Tesla Motors – one unit each.
Romania’s car fleet reached a total of 5.98 million vehicles in 2013, up 4.73 percent year-on-year.
