NATO Secretary General visits Bucharest

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will meet the Romanian president Klaus Iohannis today during his visit to Bucharest.

Stoltenberg and Iohannis will also take part in the opening session of 63rd NATO Parliamentary Assembly meeting, organized at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest. The two officials will then visit the NATO Multinational Southeast Brigade (MN BDE) in Craiova.

Jens Stoltenberg will also meet Romanian prime minister Mihai Tudose, defense minister Mihai Fifor, Chamber of Deputies president Liviu Dragnea and Senate president Calin Popescu Tariceanu.

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly brings together 266 members of the parliaments of the 29 NATO member countries. The assembly’s president Paolo Alli will chair the meeting. Iohannis, Stoltenberg, Tariceanu and Dragnea will hold speeches.
