More than 65 percent of Internet users said they were influenced by online advertising and spread out messages related to brands, product and services they see online, found a recent study by IAB Romania and eResearch Corp.
The Internet users questioned in the research study said they were influenced by online advertising in other ways that just being convinced to click on an ad. They either gather information before buying or spread out messages related to brands and services they find online.
Around 15 percent of respondents said they bought the product after seeing the online ad, while 28.7 percent of them looked for more information afterwards.
When asked whether they click on an online ad, 31 percent said ‘yes, to follow a link’, while 26 percent said ‘yes, to close the ad’.
The research covered 52 websites of the IAB Romania member companies and was carried out on 10,647 respondents.
IAB Romania association includes companies in the online advertising industry, media houses, advertising agencies, advertising suppliers and local publishers.
