Romania’s Monica Niculescu wins Limoges tennis tournament

Romanian Monica Niculescu has managed to claim her first singles title of the year on Sunday, November 12, as she won the Engie Open de Limoges championship with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Germany's Antonia Lottner.

The match lasted around one hour. This is also Niculescu’s first WTA 125K championship of her career.

Monica Niculescu is in the WTA top 100 of best female tennis players in the world. She is currently at number 78 in the ranking.

Romania’s Simona Halep is No.1 in the WTA ranking, with 6,175 points. She is followed by Garbine Muguruza and Caroline Wozniacki.
