Local media: Automobile Dacia becomes largest Romanian company turnover wise, outpacing OMV Petrom

Romanian car maker Automobile Dacia, owned by French Renault, posted a turnover of EUR 4.16 billion last year, a growth of 45 percent year on year, and its best result so far, according to Ziarul Financiar.

It thus became the largest company in Romania by turnover, outpacing the previous number 1, oil and gas company OMV Petrom, which posted a EUR 4.09 billion turnover.

Romanian carmaker Dacia reaches the 5 million mark

Automobile Dacia had a record production of 342,000 cars in Romania last year. The company’s net profit was of EUR 76.3 million last year, up from EUR 62.3 million the year before.
