11 August 2020

Travelers arriving in Egypt need to show a negative Covid-19 test to be allowed entry to the country, Romania’s Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) announced. The measure is applicable starting August 15.

However, the requirement does not apply to travelers arriving on board of direct air flights on the airports of Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, and Marsa Matrouh, MAE said, quoted by News.ro.

The test needs to be carried out at most 72 hours before travel.

Those who wish to travel between the South Sinai Governorate and other localities in Egypt need to show a negative Covid-19 test.

Information on the new measure can be found on the website of Romania’s Embassy in Cairo.
